New Range Rover Evoque
Land Rover has finally unveiled the 2012 Range Rover Evoque in its entirety. The Evoque is a compact luxury crossover with no discernible offroad capability, and will initially be available in 3-door trim, with a 5-door coming later. The Range Rover Evoque comes with a Ford-sourced 240 hp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder “EcoBoost” turbo engine that has been renamed the “Si4? in this guise. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic, front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, and a choice of 19-inch or 20-inch wheels. More engines may become available later.

Other features include a Jaguar-sourced rotary-dial gear selector, a four-setting Terrain Response System controlled via an 8-inch touchscreen, a 825W 17-speaker Meridian sound system and an optional reworked body kit matched with a sportier leather interior.

The production-ready 2012 Evoque will be shown at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and should reach GCC showrooms sometime in late 2011
